6. Respond Promptly
Check your status online regularly. If your application is successful, respond immediately! Each year, there are limited spots. For instance, in the past there were 50,000 DVs available. Because not all the 50,000 applicants qualify or follow up, more than 50,000 invitations were sent.
The more promptly you respond to the invitation and return all requested materials, the more quickly you can get to the interview step and possibly qualify for a DV.
